Islamabad: Gallup Pakistan has recently released a new survey conducted from June 28 to July 10, involving more than 700 respondents.
The findings reveal that 60% of Pakistanis have distanced themselves from social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, with no accounts on these apps.
On the other hand, 40% of people reported using these platforms actively. The survey also found that 62% of Pakistanis under 30 are more engaged with these apps, while only 30% of individuals over 30 are active users.
Interestingly, Pakistani men outnumber women in social media use, with 45% of men compared to 35% of women using Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Additionally, 22% of Pakistanis reported making online friends through these platforms, while 76% stated they did not form any such connections.
