UK Student Resurrected After Being Declared Dead for 25 Minutes

London: A university student in the UK was declared dead for 25 minutes after suffering from a rare heart condition that led to his heart stopping, only to come back to life shortly thereafter.

Charlie Vincent, a 20-year-old from De Montfort University, collapsed after severe sunburn during a trip to New Hampshire in the United States. Initially treated for pneumonia, he went into cardiac arrest while on the operating table, and his heart stopped for 25 minutes.

Doctors later discovered that Vincent had a condition known as cardiomegaly, where the heart becomes enlarged and struggles to pump blood efficiently. This condition, which Vincent was unaware of, had led to his heart failure.

After being resuscitated, Vincent was placed in an induced coma for a week and later transferred to a specialized medical center in Boston for further treatment.

Vincent’s sister, Emily, recalled the traumatic moment when the doctors declared that he had died and had to be revived.

The case of Vincent is a rare medical phenomenon, and the discovery of his underlying heart condition has provided valuable insight into how this condition affects young, seemingly healthy individuals.
