A woman from the Indian city of Mir was arrested after her husband insisted on shaving her beard.
According to Indian media, a woman named Arshi got married just 7 months ago. According to the husband, his wife started pressuring him to shave his beard right after the marriage.
Arshi allegedly told him that she married him due to family pressure and would only stay with him if he shaved his beard. The couple often quarreled over this issue, and the man also complained to her family.
During this time, Arshi started an affair with the husband’s younger brother, after which the two eventually ran away. In an attempt to avoid social embarrassment, the man tried to find them with the help of his relatives but was unsuccessful.
Later, he filed a missing persons complaint for his wife and brother and informed Arshi’s family. However, her family refused to intervene, stating that they had cut all ties with Arshi.
