The Department of Schools Education has taken an important decision regarding the summer vacations.

The Department of Schools Education has finalized the summer vacation schedule. However, if there is an unusual increase in temperature, the vacations may be given a week earlier. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the health of parents, students and teachers, because extreme heat can affect the educational activities of children.

It should be noted that the impact of climate change is being felt everywhere globally and Pakistan is also not safe from these dangers. Global warming has not only disrupted weather patterns but also seen an increase in natural disasters. According to research, Pakistan is among the countries in the world where the effects of climate change can potentially be the most devastating.

In addition, after the ceasefire between Pakistan and India, all educational institutions across Punjab, including Lahore, opened as usual today. Teaching activities have resumed in all private and government schools. The Intermediate Part II Theory examinations under the Lahore Education Board are also being held as per the schedule from today.

The practicals of the Matriculation examinations are also being conducted as per the schedule from today. In addition, the dates of the postponed papers of Intermediate Part II and Matriculation Practical will be announced later.

Yesterday, the School Education Authority and Higher Education Department had issued a notification to open all educational institutions as usual from May 12. It should be noted that in view of the Pakistan-India tension, it was announced that educational institutions across Punjab would be closed on May 9 and 10.
