Peshawar: Six members of the same family lost their lives after a fire broke out in a house in Peshawar’s Tehkal Payan area. Rescue 1122 said the victims are believed to have died from smoke inhalation, while the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
According to Rescue 1122, the fire broke out in the hall of the house, where furniture, foam and other household goods were present. Rescue teams reached the spot as soon as they received information and took timely action and brought the fire under control.
Rescue 1122 recovered the bodies of 6 people from a room of the house during the search operation. The deceased include a husband, wife and their children.
According to rescue officials, initial investigations have revealed that all the people died due to suffocation due to the intense heat and smoke of the fire. The reasons for the fire are not yet known, however, investigations into the incident are underway to reveal the real cause of the fire.
