Hania Amir slammed Indian propaganda, calling the viral Instagram post fake and fabricated.
A few days ago, a fake social media post attributed to Pakistani actress Hania Aamir went viral, sparking surprise on both sides of the border. The post, which was critical of Pakistan, was widely circulated but has now been declared false by
the actress herself.
Taking to her verified Instagram story, Hania Aamir clarified the situation, stating:
“A statement has been falsely attributed to me and is spreading rapidly on social media. I want to clearly say that this statement is completely fake. I have no connection with it, I do not endorse such views, and it does not represent my beliefs.”
Addressing the sensitivity of the matter, she added:
“This is an extremely sensitive and painful time. Politicizing such situations and playing the blame game only fuels hate. We need to move towards empathy, justice, and healing.”
Speaking directly to her fans, Hania urged:
“Your love means the world to me. I kindly request you all to verify the truth before sharing any post.”
It is worth noting that on April 22, a deadly attack in the Pahalgam region of Indian-occupied Kashmir resulted in the deaths of 26 Indian tourists. Without any investigation, India hastily blamed Pakistan for the incident.
Following the attack, India also imposed restrictions on the social media accounts of several Pakistani artists as a harsh retaliatory move.
