Dubai: In a welcome development for Pakistani travelers, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has officially made its 5-year multiple entry tourist visa available to citizens of Pakistan.
Initially launched a few years ago, the long-term tourist visa is open to nationals of all countries, including Pakistan, and is aimed at making travel to the UAE easier and more flexible for frequent visitors.
According to UAE immigration officials, the visa is particularly useful for those who have previously faced difficulties obtaining a UAE visa. This visa allows multiple entries over a five-year period without the need for a local sponsor or host.
Key Features of the Visa:
– Valid for 5 years
– Allows multiple entries and exits
– Each visit permits a stay of up to 90 days, extendable for another 90 days
– Total stay should not exceed 180 days within a calendar year
Required Documents:
1. A passport valid for at least 6 months
2. A recent color photograph
3. Return flight ticket
4. Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or residential address)
5. Bank statement showing at least $4,000 USD (or equivalent) in the past 6 months
6. Valid health insurance acceptable in the UAE
Officials added that the application process is simple, and approval is usually granted within 48 hours of submission. Applications can be submitted online or through authorized visa centers.
This visa is an excellent option for Pakistanis who wish to visit family, explore business opportunities, or enjoy extended holidays in the UAE.
