Lahore: Mian Abdul Qadir, a prominent leader of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Movement and Coordinator of the Fahm-e-Deen project, has been appointed as the new head of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Social Media Working Council. The official notification of his appointment was issued by Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, the Central Secretary-General of Minhaj-ul-Quran.
On this occasion, Noorullah Siddiqui, the Deputy Secretary-General of Media Affairs, Abdul Sattar Minhajian, the Director of Social Media, along with other senior leaders, extended their heartfelt congratulations to Mian Abdul Qadir.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, while congratulating Mian Abdul Qadir on his new role, emphasized the crucial role of social media in the modern era. He stated that social media is a powerful and fast-paced medium of communication. In the current time, it plays an essential role in promoting peace, unity among Muslims, interfaith tolerance, and combating extremism.
He highlighted that Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founder of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, is a prominent figure in advocating for interfaith harmony and promoting peace. He is widely recognized as one of the strongest voices for Muslim unity and the global promotion of peace. Gandapur urged the Minhaj-ul-Quran social media activists to actively take on the responsibility of being ambassadors for Islam and Pakistan.
“Minhaj-ul-Quran’s social media activists should work to strengthen the narrative of peace, unity, and tolerance on digital platforms,” he added. He stressed the need for a positive, informative, and engaging presence online to represent the true essence of Islam and Pakistan globally.
In his new role, Mian Abdul Qadir will be responsible for leading and coordinating the efforts of the Social Media Working Council, ensuring that Minhaj-ul-Quran’s online presence aligns with its values of peace, education, and interfaith dialogue. His leadership is expected to play a key role in expanding the movement’s influence through digital means, enabling it to reach a wider audience and promote its message of harmony and understanding.
