According to SP Ziarat, armed men attacked a police post in Mangi, 9 police personnel were martyred in an exchange of fire.
SP Ziarat Abdul Quddus said that the bodies of the martyred police personnel have been shifted to DHQ Hospital.
He said that the attackers also took 5 police personnel with them, and steps have been taken to recover the kidnapped police personnel.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attack by Indian-sponsored terrorists in Ziarat and paid tribute to the 9 police personnel who sacrificed their lives.
Mohsin Naqvi expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for patience.
He said that the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for peace are our pride, the eternal sacrifices of the martyrs can never be forgotten, such cowardly attacks cannot sabotage peace.
15 terrorists were killed during the clearance operation: Shahid Rind
Assistant to the Chief Minister of Balochistan Shahid Rind says that the clearance operation against the Fitna-ul-Kharij terrorists in Ziarat has been completed, FC, Police, CTD, SOW and ATF completed the clearance operation.
He said that the terrorists of Fitna-ul-Khawarij had to pay a heavy price for playing with the peace of Balochistan, the security forces and the police thwarted the nefarious intentions of the terrorists, 15 terrorists were killed during the clearance operation.
According to Shahid Rind, 9 police officers and personnel were martyred in the attack by the terrorists of Fitna-ul-Khawarij, the martyrs include SHOs of Mangi and Quas police stations, ATF in-charge and other officials.
He said that 8 police personnel including DSP Ghulam Sarwar reached Kach police station safely, Constable Rizwan has also been safely recovered.
The Chief Minister of Balochistan said that there is no safe haven for terrorists in Balochistan, every attack will be given a decisive response, and intelligence-based operations against terrorists will continue.
