Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has taken the decision to remove the party’s provincial president Junaid Akbar from the chairmanship of the Public Accounts Committee to Wallace.
According to sources, PTI sources say that this decision was taken in the last meeting between Imran Khan and Barrister Gauhar.
Imran Khan took the position in his meeting with Barrister Gauhar that Junaid Akbar’s political activities are being affected due to the responsibilities of the Chairman Public Accounts Committee.
Barrister Gauhar took the position that in case of resignation, the Speaker will give the chairmanship of the Public Accounts Committee to another party instead of PTI.
According to PTI sources, there was a fear that the loss of the post of Public Accounts would harm the party in Parliament, on which Imran Khan accepted Barrister Gohar’s position and withdrew the decision.
Meanwhile, in a conversation with journalists in Islamabad, Junaid Akbar said that he did not know who had suggested his resignation, if the founder had asked for his resignation, he would have done so.
He complained that some people within the party wanted his resignation and their wish was fulfilled.
