Islamabad: National Assembly members fumed over lack of renovation and repair of Parliament Lodges.
During the National Assembly session, National Assembly members expressed their anger over lack of renovation and repair of Parliament Lodges.
PTI Member of National Assembly Malik Amir Dogar said that CDA treats us like a stepmother, while Shazia Soobiya Soomro complained that other issues including cleanliness were not resolved.
Deputy Speaker Ghulam Mustafa Shah said that CDA’s performance is very poor, the Director and Deputy Director of CDA Parliament Lodges have been suspended, while new tenders will be issued to resolve the issues of Parliament Lodges.
On this occasion, PPP leader Naveed Qamar said that instead of removing the director and deputy director, the CDA should be removed. To this, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi replied that the CDA has spent more than Rs 900 million on the maintenance of Parliament Lodges in 5 years.
