The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had approached to hold IPL in Dubai but India had to face another setback.
Sources say that India had approached yesterday to hold IPL matches in Dubai but Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had already talked about holding PSL matches in Dubai.
Sources say that Emirates Cricket Board had informed PCB about shifting matches and when the Indian board contacted, it was told that Pakistan had contacted first.
According to sources, on the night of May 8, the PCB settled all the matters for holding matches in Dubai and announced late at night.
It should be noted that it has been postponed indefinitely as India did not get a venue in Dubai.
According to Indian media, the Indian board is now looking at the IPL window in September and holding the Asia Cup in September will be difficult.
