It has been decided to present the budget for the new fiscal year 2025-26 in the first week of June.
According to sources in the Ministry of Finance, a proposal has been made to convene the budget session of Parliament ahead of time in view of Eid-ul-Adha.
Sources in the Ministry of Finance say that the new budget may be presented in Parliament before June 5. The process of approving the new budget will begin immediately after the Eid holidays.
Sources in the Ministry of Finance say that consultations will be held with the IMF on the budget for the new fiscal year. The IMF mission will arrive in Pakistan during the second week of May. Approval will be sought from the IMF on the budget targets.
