Islamabad: The list of Pakistani citizens killed in a terrorist attack in Iran has been released.
Pakistani Ambassador to Iran, Mudassir Tipu, issued the names of the eight Pakistani citizens who were killed two days ago in a terrorist attack in Iran.
According to Ambassador Mudassir Tipu, the eight Pakistani laborers from Bahawalpur were killed in the city of Mehrestan, Iran.
The deceased include:
– Muhammad Aamir
– Muhammad Dilshad
– Muhammad Nasir
– Malik Jamshed
– Muhammad Danish
– Muhammad Naeem
– Ghulam Jaffar
– Muhammad Khalid
Ambassador Tipu stated that the Pakistani embassy is in full coordination with Iranian authorities and arrangements are being finalized to repatriate the bodies. On the instructions of the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, the bodies will be sent back to Pakistan promptly.
He further added that the embassy is actively pursuing justice for the slain Pakistanis and is in contact with Iranian officials to ensure a prompt and transparent investigation. The Iranian government has assured full cooperation.
It is worth noting that just a day earlier, terrorists opened fire on a workshop in Iran’s Sistan province, killing eight Pakistani car mechanics. The victims belonged to the Punjab region of Pakistan.
