Islamabad: Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has directed to prepare a business plan to achieve the target of $60 billion in exports in the next 5 years.
According to details, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Ahsan Iqbal to review the strategy for increasing exports under the Udan Pakistan program, which reviewed the first e-export of the Five E Framework.
In the meeting, the Federal Minister for Planning directed to prepare a business plan to achieve the target of $60 billion in exports in the next 5 years.
Ahsan Iqbal directed the officials of the Ministry of Planning to review the trend of local production in the global market and compile a comprehensive data because until we have accurate and clear data, we will continue to waste our resources.
In this regard, the meeting was informed that the Ministry of Planning is working on 8 strategic clusters on the basis of which Pakistan’s future export growth will depend.
According to the report, these 8 strategic clusters will include agriculture and agricultural product exports, industry and manufacturing including textiles, engineering and pharma, services sector, IT and digital services, minerals and mining, manpower export and overseas employment, blue economy creative industries including media, arts and culture.
According to the report, the relevant ministry for each cluster will prepare a comprehensive business plan for each product.
