ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed the announcement of the dissolution of the militant organization Kurdistan Workers’ Party in Turkey and appreciated the unwavering commitment of the Turkish leadership.
He said that this historic step marks the beginning of a new chapter of peace, stability and development in Turkey.
The Prime Minister said in his statement that the dissolution of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party will end the shadow of terror in Turkey and the people will be able to live a peaceful life.

Shahbaz Sharif, while paying tribute to the leadership of the Turkish President, said that this decision is a manifestation of his constant and determined struggle for peace.
He further said that Pakistan reiterates its commitment to eliminate terrorism in Turkey and will continue to express full solidarity with its brotherly country at every forum. He expressed the hope that this step will prove to be a positive development for peace and stability in the entire region.
