Prime Minister Announces Establishment of Special Courts to Resolve Issues of Overseas Pakistanis

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the establishment of special courts in the federal capital to resolve the issues of overseas Pakistanis.

Addressing a convention of overseas Pakistanis in Islamabad, Shehbaz Sharif said that the passion and sacrifices of overseas Pakistanis are commendable. More than one crore (10 million) Pakistanis are living in various countries around the world.

He said that special courts have been established in Islamabad to resolve the issues of overseas Pakistanis. The government is also taking steps to establish such courts in Punjab and Balochistan.

The Prime Minister said that overseas Pakistanis have earned their place through hard work, dedication, and sacrifices.
“You are the crown on our heads and our ambassadors. The hearts of overseas Pakistanis beat with Pakistan. Overseas Pakistanis are earning a lawful livelihood through hard work. Overseas Pakistanis are the pride of the nation.”

Shehbaz Sharif said that with General Asim Munir in command, no one can look at Pakistan with an evil eye.

“What the Army Chief speaks is what lies in his heart. Everyone knows who is funding the terrorists and where the roots of terrorism lie. In 2018, terrorism had been eradicated from the country.”

He said that Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir is a true Pakistani and a strong professional.

“Pakistan’s defence is strong. Our armed forces are securing the nation’s future by sacrificing their lives. Due to past mistakes, terrorism has returned to the country. Terrorists were brought and settled in Swat and other areas.”

The Prime Minister said that a 5% quota has been reserved in universities and 15% in medical colleges for the children of overseas Pakistanis.
FBR will consider overseas Pakistanis as filers in transactions and banking matters. NAVTTC will offer courses to make the children of overseas Pakistanis technically skilled.

Shehbaz Sharif said that through video link, all missions will be given the facility for e-recording of evidence.
The facility of e-filing of cases is also being provided, which will be made available within 60 days.

He further said that orders have been issued to prepare a feasibility study for an international airport in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir.
Every year, 15 civil awards will be given to those who send the highest amount of foreign exchange.
