New York: In an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on the issue of Venezuela, China and Russia demanded the immediate release of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, and the meeting declared the US military action a violation of the UN Charter.

He said that the UN Charter obliges us to refrain from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state. The UN Charter also obliges member states to respect sovereign equality, non-interference in the internal affairs of others, and the peaceful resolution of international disputes.
Usman Jadoon said that unilateral military action is a clear violation of these sacred principles and the doctrine of state sovereignty. Such actions create dangerous precedents that threaten to undermine the foundations of the international legal framework.
He said that they fuel instability, which, as history has repeatedly proven, can lead to unpredictable and uncontrollable consequences for years to come.
Usman Jadoon said that the only way forward at this critical juncture should be through dialogue and diplomacy. Sustainable solutions to political differences can only be found through peaceful means, with full respect for the free will of the Venezuelan people and free from any external interference.
He said that we hope that the Latin American and Caribbean region will remain a zone of peace, free from conflict and confrontation, and will continue its journey towards greater prosperity and stronger regional cooperation for the people of the region.
We urge all parties to exercise utmost restraint, reduce tensions, promote peaceful coexistence, refrain from any action that could further aggravate this delicate situation, and adopt the path of dialogue, including sincere offers of mediation.
He expressed the hope that the Latin American and Caribbean region, which is recognized internationally as a zone of peace, will remain free from conflict and confrontation, and that all efforts should be focused on peace, stability and the well-being of the people in Venezuela.
Pakistan also warmly congratulated Somalia on assuming the presidency of the Security Council.

During the meeting, the Russian delegate condemned the US attack on Venezuela and said that President Nicolas Maduro was kidnapped by the US, President Maduro and his wife should be released.
The Russian delegate further said that they hope that double standards will be avoided, that the US wants to seize Venezuela’s natural resources, Washington’s intentions are not hidden, that the international community should stand against the foreign policy of the US military, this is the only way that can rein in the US.

The US leadership is talking about running another country, the US is violating its own constitution.
China
Speaking at an emergency meeting of the Security Council, the Chinese delegate said that the US has endangered the peace of Latin America and the Caribbean, that the US must abide by international law and the UN Charter, that the US claims that it will govern Venezuela, that China condemns this US aggression, that the US, being a permanent member, has not respected the concerns of the international community, that the US has attacked the integrity of Venezuela, and that it has also violated the principle of prohibition on the use of force in international relations.
The Chinese delegate added that the US should listen to the voice of the international community, that the US should respect the UN Charter, that the US should ensure the safety of President Maduro and his wife, that the US should immediately release both of them, that the use of military force is not a solution to problems.
He said that the US bypassed the UN and attacked Iraq, that the US attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities, did these measures bring peace and stability? Venezuela is an independent and sovereign country, no country can play the role of police on its own, no country is an international judge.
The Chinese delegate said that the Venezuelan government supports the right of the Venezuelan government to protect its people, the United States should change its position and refrain from harsh measures, and support all efforts for peace in Latin America and the Caribbean.
