Lahore: A video link meeting of the PCB Board of Governors was held under the chairmanship of Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi, in which the second phase of reconstruction of National Cricket Stadium Karachi was officially approved. In the BOG meeting, it was decided to upgrade LCCA Ground to Oval Ground style.
The meeting approved the upgrade of LCCA Ground. The meeting appreciated the hard work and professionalism of Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi and the team for the success of PSL London and New York road shows.
In the BOG meeting, the personal efforts of Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi were paid in continuing the recent tour of the Sri Lankan team and a resolution was passed by the BOG members to express gratitude to Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi.
Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi said that the credit for continuing the Sri Lankan tour does not go to me but to the entire team. We worked sincerely and Allah Almighty helped us. The success of the PSL roadshows is the success of the PCB and the entire PSL team.
Everyone worked tirelessly day and night to make the PSL an international brand. He said that every effort is being made to hold the PSL 11 matches at the Muzaffarabad Stadium, while international matches will also be held at the Muzaffarabad Stadium. A state-of-the-art cricket stadium will be built in Islamabad.
The meeting was briefed that a well-known private firm at the regional level has started the scrutiny of clubs. Chief Executive Officer PSL Salman Naseer briefed the meeting about the PSL roadshows. The Board of Governors meeting was briefed about the future ICC Women’s and Men’s Cricket Tournaments.
The meeting was briefed on strengthening the structure of domestic cricket and increasing the number of tournaments and matches at the grassroots level. Board of Governors members Ismail Qureshi, Tariq Sarwar, Sajjad Ali Khokhar, Anwar Ghani, Zaheer Abbas, Tanveer Ahmed, Zafarullah, Mustafa Ramday, Adnan Malik, Additional Secretary Cabinet Division, Chief Operating Officer PCB Sameer Ahmed and Chief Executive Officer PSL Salman Naseer attended the meeting. The Chief Financial Officer, Directors Infrastructure, Domestic Cricket, Commercial and relevant officials also attended the meeting.
