British Museum Islamic Gallery includes Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s English translation of the Quran

Along with the historical manuscripts of the eighth century, modern contemporary translations have also been made a part of the exhibition

 

Lahore: The world’s leading cultural and historical institution, the British Museum, has officially included Shaikh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri English translation of the Irfan-ul-Quran, “The Glorious Quran”, in its Islamic World Gallery. This inclusion is not only an international recognition of Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s scholarly contributions but also provides a new meaning to the contemporary interpretation of Quranic sciences at the global level. Established in 1753, the British Museum is a global center of history, culture, science and research. Its Islamic World Gallery houses rare and rare manuscripts of the eighth century, historical and calligraphic masterpieces of the Holy Quran, Ottoman and Persian calligraphy, jurisprudential manuscripts, the most important books on philosophy, science and Sufism. These works represent the intellectual and scientific heritage of different periods of Islamic civilization.

In this grand collection of the museum, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s English translation of the Quran has also become part of the modern scholarly tradition. “The Glorious Qur’an” is accepted worldwide for its simple, eloquent, and contemporary understanding, and its inclusion in the museum presents ancient Islamic heritage and modern scholarly interpretations in a single continuum.
