Lahore: Singer Humaira Arshad objected to Fawad Khan’s inclusion in the judging panel in ‘Pakistan Idol’, to which showbiz personalities reacted in support of Fawad Khan.
Recently, Humaira Arshad, while participating in a program, objected to Fawad Khan’s inclusion as a judge in Pakistan Idol and said that artists who have nothing to do with music should not become judges.
She said that it has always been the case in Pakistan that artists who are not related to music are included in the judging panel and this is still happening.
According to Humaira Arshad, those people who have dedicated their entire lives to music should be made judges in such programs, because this is their right.
However, after Humaira Arshad’s statement, several artists responded in support of Fawad Khan on social media.
Actress Ayesha Omar wrote in her Instagram story that Fawad Khan was the lead singer of Pakistan’s famous rock music band ‘EP’ (Entity Paradigm), who was the first winner of ‘Battle of the Bands’, and his experience in music, singing and live performance spans years.
She said that since Fawad Khan became the winner by participating in a music reality show, he understands the emotions and experiences of the contestants better than others. He has also been a judge on ‘Pepsi Battle of the Bands’ for three seasons and he was her favorite judge because his criticism and analysis were always deep and reasoned.
Actor Haroon Shahid wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that this is a very stupid debate, it is worrying that Humaira Arshad does not even know that Fawad Khan and Bilal Maqsood are musicians.
According to him, the current season of Pakistan Idol is going very well and he likes the entire panel of judges very much.

Actor Namir Khan, while sharing a video based on Fawad Khan’s career on Instagram Story, wrote that this is our national problem, we cannot see anyone succeeding, we should celebrate their success instead of putting down our people, Fawad Khan is a star and he does not need to explain himself to anyone.
Actress Darfashan Saleem also wrote in favor of Fawad Khan in an Instagram post that he does not deserve this criticism.
She wrote that unfortunately we have become a nation that takes pleasure in putting others down in public, while smiling in front of them, criticizing everything according to our liking and forgetting how much people have struggled in their journey.
According to the actress, healthy criticism is part of professional practice, but excessive criticism of one’s own people is not progress but shameful behavior.
