Israel has announced the restoration of the ceasefire agreement after the brutal bombardment of Gaza, US President Donald Trump has also confirmed that the ceasefire is still in place.

According to Qatari broadcaster ‘Al Jazeera’, the Israeli forces have said in a statement that the process of further strengthening the ceasefire has begun after a series of major attacks in Gaza.

The statement said that ‘Israel will continue to implement the ceasefire agreement and any violation of the agreement will be responded to severely’.

According to the AFP news agency, US President Donald Trump has said that the ceasefire in Gaza is still in effect, even though Israel carried out deadly airstrikes on the area yesterday after Hamas allegedly violated the ceasefire.

The Israeli army had carried out dozens of airstrikes on Hamas targets in southern Gaza and accused Hamas fighters of targeting its soldiers, which was considered a clear violation of the nine-day ceasefire.

When reporters asked Trump if the ceasefire was still in effect, he replied, “Yes, it is,” and he also indicated that the alleged violations did not involve Hamas’s top leadership, but “some rebel elements” were responsible.

The US president said, “We want to make sure that the situation with Hamas remains very peaceful, it will be dealt with firmly but appropriately.”

According to the Hamas-run Gaza Civil Defense, at least 45 people were killed in the Israeli attacks.

According to Al Jazeera, Israel had accused Palestinian militants of attacking its soldiers in southern Gaza.

No contact with units in Khan Yunis for months, Hamas

On the other hand, the resistance organization ‘Hamas’, which has repeatedly accused Israel of ceasefire violations, said that its contact with units in Rafah has been cut off for months, and we are not responsible for any incidents that occur in these areas.

Israel had insisted that Hamas return the remains of all 28 dead hostages and said that the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt would remain closed until further notice.

It should be noted that a Hamas delegation led by senior Hamas leader Khalil al-Haya arrived in the Egyptian capital Cairo yesterday.

The delegation said in its statement that the purpose of the visit was to review progress with mediators, Palestinian groups and forces regarding the implementation of the ceasefire agreement.

Ceasefire in Gaza still in effect, US President

JD Vance said that it is not possible to completely disarm Hamas in a few days. The forces of the Gulf states will have to go to Gaza and ensure security. He further said that President Trump has not decided to provide Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine at this time.

US officials to visit Israel, discuss Gaza ceasefire framework

Meanwhile, US special envoy Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump’s adviser Jared Kushner will arrive in Israel today, while US Vice President JD Vance will arrive in Israel on Tuesday.

According to reports, the three US officials will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and other senior Israeli officials during their visit to advance the US framework for a ceasefire in Gaza.
