Pakistan has condemned the Israeli attack on Qatar, calling it a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Israeli aggression must be stopped immediately and the Muslim world must demonstrate unity in the face of it.

According to Dawn News, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid a day-long visit to Doha in the wake of the Israeli attack on Qatar, where he met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The Prime Minister strongly condemned the Israeli attack on Doha on September 9, calling it a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He said that Pakistan stands with Qatar in this difficult time and the historic brotherly relations between the two countries will always remain strong. The Prime Minister expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the Israeli attack and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The Prime Minister stressed that Israeli aggression must be stopped immediately and the Muslim Ummah must demonstrate unity in the face of it. He praised Qatar’s constructive mediation role in establishing peace in Gaza, saying that Israel’s provocative actions pose a major threat to regional stability and diplomatic efforts.

The Prime Minister said that at Qatar’s request, Pakistan proposed convening an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, while also welcoming Qatar’s decision to hold an extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit, in which Pakistan has agreed to co-host the OIC.

The Emir of Qatar thanked the Prime Minister for his expression of solidarity. The two leaders reiterated their commitment to supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, promoting regional peace and stability, and upholding international law.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Qatar on a one-day visit. Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani welcomed the Prime Minister at Doha Airport. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi are part of the Pakistani delegation accompanying the Prime Minister.

Qatar and Pakistan have long-standing historical brotherly relations based on shared beliefs and values. Pakistan has always supported Qatar in every difficult time and will continue to do so.

It should be noted that on September 9, Israel carried out an airstrike in Qatar, in which it claimed to have targeted senior Hamas leaders. However, Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayyah was safe in the attack, but six people, including his son and aide, were martyred.

The attack came as Hamas negotiators were meeting to consider the latest ceasefire proposal put forward by the United States.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif telephoned Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on the same day to strongly condemn the Israeli bombing of Doha and express Pakistan’s full solidarity with Qatar.

According to a report by state-run television PTV, during a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar, the prime minister strongly condemned the illegal and barbaric bombing of Doha by Israeli forces, which resulted in the loss of precious human lives and damage to civilian property.

He expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the Emir of Qatar, the Qatari royal family, and the people of Qatar.

The Prime Minister described Israel’s attack as cowardly and a blatant violation of Qatari sovereignty and territorial integrity, saying that it poses a serious threat to regional peace and stability.

In addition to Pakistan, the international community, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Jordan, and the United Nations, have strongly condemned Israel’s unprovoked attack on Qatar.
