Karachi: A new study has uncovered that many baby products available in supermarkets in the U.S. are not healthy. The research, which examined 651 baby foods sold for children aged six months to 36 months across 10 supermarkets, found that 60% of the products failed to meet the nutritional guidelines recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). Experts have pointed out that nearly all advertised baby food products for infants do not meet WHO’s comprehensive standards. Among the products studied, 70% failed to meet the WHO’s guidelines on protein content, and 25% did not meet the required caloric standards. This alarming revelation calls for a closer look at the quality control of baby food products to ensure they meet essential health standards.
