Cairo: A significant archaeological discovery has been made in Egypt’s Nile Delta, where a collection of ancient artifacts from the final dynasty of Ancient Egypt has been unearthed.
According to officials from Egypt’s Antiquities Authority, dozens of tombs have been found containing gold pieces, jewelry, and other relics from the later periods of Egyptian and Ptolemaic rule.
Among the items discovered are pieces of gold and jewelry that date back to the later years of Egypt’s dynastic periods. Some of these objects may be displayed in Egypt’s museums for public viewing.
The discovery adds to Egypt’s rich archaeological heritage and provides further insight into the craftsmanship and wealth of the ancient civilizations that once thrived along the Nile.
This latest find follows a previous confirmation by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of another significant discovery in Damietta, where researchers uncovered mudbrick tombs, shedding more light on the burial practices and material culture of Ancient Egypt’s later dynasties.
