Lahore: Founder and Patron-in-Chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Sheikh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, while addressing the “Seerat-ul-Nabi (PBUH) and Peace in the World Conference” held at the Islamic Center Portugal (Lisbon), said that the world should study the Seerat-ul-Tayyaba for world peace. He (PBUH) set the principles and standards of morality for the first time on the planet.
No conqueror of the world has been able to present an example like the general amnesty of the conquest of Mecca. Allah Almighty did not create man for material progress but for spiritual and moral perfection. It is the duty of every inhabitant of the planet to protect Allah’s earth from corruption and make it a cradle of peace and justice. No religion of the world, whether inspired or uninspired, forbids the killing of innocent people and oppression.
On the Day of Judgment, Allah will hold accountable those who have wasted the resources, fruits and blessings of His earth and caused unjustified damage. Islam has completely rejected bloody wars and disputes, the practice of forcibly destroying the rights of the weak and forcibly enslaving them.
Islam has given protection to the religious, national, family, political and social identity of every person and a comprehensive concept of rights and duties. Every society and community today needs high moral values such as tolerance and moderation. Human life is very precious and should be respected and protected.
The conference was attended by prominent personalities from different walks of life, intellectuals and community representatives, including Chairman Supreme Council Minhaj-ul-Quran International Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President Minhaj European Council Bilal Appel, Patron Minhaj-ul-Quran Portugal Muhammad Sagheer, President Minhaj-ul-Quran Portugal Kashif Nazir. On this occasion, the participation of Sikh community leaders and officials and members of the Islamic Center Lisbon presented a practical demonstration of interfaith tolerance and brotherhood.
