Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, while giving a two-pronged message to Afghanistan, said that the Afghan Taliban government will have to choose between Fitnatul Khawarij or Pakistan, while warning India not to be a victim of any self-deception or suspicion, next time Pakistan’s response will be even swifter and more severe.
During a ceremony at the General Headquarters (GHQ), Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, while addressing officers of the three armed forces, said that the fundamental change in the new Defence Forces Headquarters is historic.
The Field Marshal said that due to the growing threats, the three armed forces should work with a unified system, in view of the growing and changing threats, multi-domain operations should be further improved under the unified system of the three forces.
He further said that the establishment of the Defense Forces Headquarters is a necessary step towards this change, each service will maintain its uniqueness for its operational preparations, the Defense Forces Headquarters will coordinate the operations of the services, the three forces will maintain their internal autonomy and organizational structure.

The Field Marshal warned India not to be a victim of any self-deception or assumption, next time Pakistan’s response will be even swifter and more severe.
Referring to Afghanistan, the Army Chief said that a message has been sent to the Taliban regime that there is no option but to choose one of them except Fitnat al-Kharij or Pakistan.
He further said that Pakistan is a peace-loving country but will not allow anyone to violate its territorial integrity. Everyone should know that the concept of Pakistan is invincible. Pakistan has been protected by the faith-filled warriors and the firm resolve of a united nation.
Earlier, after being appointed as the country’s first Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was presented with a guard of honour. A guard of honour was presented by all three armed forces at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

On the other hand, a “Guard of Honor in Honor of Chief of Defense Forces” ceremony was held at GHQ.
According to ISPR, in a solemn ceremony at GHQ, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), Hilal-e-Jurat, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces were presented a guard of honor by the contingents of the three armed forces.
The ceremony was held in honor of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on his appointment as the first Chief of Defense Forces of Pakistan.
Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, along with senior military officers, also attended the ceremony.
The guard of honor presented a general salute to the chief guest, and the chief guest Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir inspected the guard of honor. Senior military officers also attended the solemn ceremony.
The Army Chief said that the Battle of Truth—the bravery of the nation and the soldiers of the Pakistan Army—is a golden chapter in history, the multi-domain operations of the Battle of Truth have become the curriculum of future wars.
The Chief of Defense Forces said that salute to the martyrs, the martyrs will always be the pride of the nation, cyber, electromagnetic spectrum, space, IO, AI and quantum computing are the fields of the future, a formal structure for tri-services coordination and joint synergy is the need of the hour.
He further said that the establishment of the CDF headquarters is a historic step—it will play a key role in dealing with future threats, the vision of the Pakistan Army—a culturally modern, always ready, strong military force that deters aggression.
In the ceremony, heroes of the Pakistan Navy and the Pakistan Air Force were awarded for their bravery in the Battle of Truth.
