Ethiopian volcano: Ash clouds reach India

Addis Ababa: Ash clouds from the volcano that erupted in Ethiopia have reached Indian cities, while Pakistan’s airspace has now been cleared.

The effects of ash spreading into the air due to the volcanic eruption in Ethiopia after 12,000 years have now reached Indian cities after Pakistan.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the effects of ash have been seen in Gujarat, New Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana, while changes are being made in routes during flight operations due to ash.

Indian media reports that Air India has canceled flights of those planes that passed through the air routes affected by the volcano as a precautionary measure.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, ash clouds are moving towards China and will leave India by 7:30 pm on Tuesday.

Pakistan Meteorological Department Spokesperson’s Speech

On this issue, Pakistan Meteorological Department Spokesperson Anjum Nazir said that the volcanic ash has now moved towards India and Pakistan’s airspace has been cleared.

He said that the volcanic ash will go towards Indian Rajasthan and will not affect the northern areas of Pakistan. This ash passed through the Arabian Sea over Sindh. It has not had any impact on the land of Sindh, while Pakistan’s airspace is now clear.

The spokesperson said that for the first time in Pakistan’s history, an advisory was issued to aviation regarding volcanic ash. The height of the volcanic ash was more than 45,000 feet, while our domestic flight operations are at an altitude of 36,000 and international flight operations are at an altitude of 40,000 to 48,000 feet.
