Lahore (Tehreek News) A Memorandum of Understanding was signed yesterday between the Center for Research and Innovation in Maritime Affairs, Minhaj University Lahore and Pakistan International Freight Forwarders Association Training Institute to promote educational and research cooperation.
At a ceremony held at the Vice Chancellor Secretariat, Minhaj University Lahore Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sajid Mahmood Shahzad and Chairman (PIFFA) Training Institute Jamil Ahmed signed the document. Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sajid Mahmood Shahzad said that Minhaj University Lahore is committed to creating new opportunities for its students and faculty in accordance with modern educational requirements and industrial needs.
He said that this MoU will promote vocational and academic training as well as exchange programs for students and teachers between the two institutions. He added that through this cooperation, collaboration in the field of research, practical learning and employment opportunities in the industry will increase significantly for students.
Chairman (PIFFA) Training Institute Jamil Ahmed said that this collaboration with Minhaj University Lahore will create new opportunities for research and training in the field of shipping, logistics and maritime industry.
He said that the training institute will be helpful in making students entrepreneurs through modern industrial exposure, which will not only improve the quality of education but also increase employment opportunities.
Registrar Minhaj University Professor Dr. Khurram Shahzad, Director (CRIMA) Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq and other officials of both institutions were also present on the occasion.
