Lahore: Nazim-e-Ala Nizam-e-Madaris Pakistan Dr. Mir Asif Akbar Qadri has said that if students live their lives with knowledge, character and positive thinking, they can bring real prosperity to society.
Islam has given the status of worship to knowledge, but the real benefit of this knowledge is when it is reflected in character, morality and action. Educated youth should play an active role in the process of social welfare through their thinking, leadership and service.
He expressed these views while addressing an intellectual session held at the College of Sharia and Islamic Sciences. He said that the students of the College of Sharia and Islamic Sciences should lead the society by becoming a beautiful blend of religious knowledge and contemporary requirements. He said that the aim of the intellectual sessions is to instill awareness, self-confidence and research orientation in the students so that they do not just recite knowledge but emerge as reformers and thinkers.
He said that the young generation should be associated with moral values, academic integrity and the spirit of goodness because these are the elements that form the foundation of a strong and effective society.
Dr. Mir Asif Akbar Qadri said that the message of justice, love, tolerance and service to humanity is central in Islamic teachings. When students understand religion in its true sense, they themselves are saved from sectarianism, extremism and negative trends and give a message of peace and brotherhood to others.
He said that the curriculum and education system that Minhaj-ul-Quran has is not available to any board or institute.
Principal of the College of Sharia and Islamic Sciences Air Commodore (R) Abdul Ghaffar, Allama Dr. Syed Iftikhar Bukhari, Professor Malik Shabbir Ahmed, Allama Rana Akram, Qari Allah Bakhsh and other teachers were also present on the occasion.
