Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has said that terrorism cases will be registered against those who financially support Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), 3800 aides have been identified, Khadim Hussain Rizvi’s grave is not being moved anywhere, but using the grave to collect donations and gather crowds for incitement will not be allowed.
Addressing a Lahore press conference, Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari said that during the TLP protest, the bodies were propagated, 3 civilians who were passers-by were martyred in the Mureed incident, while 45 people were injured, while 110 police personnel were injured during the violent protest.
He said that during the protest, police mobiles and rescue vehicles including vehicles of Clean Punjab were set on fire, trolleys filled with bricks were moving along with them.
He said that terrorism cases will be registered against those who financially supported TLP, 3800 helpers were identified, it was surprising that big names and educated people were also among those who financially supported TLP.
He said that one kilogram 920 grams of gold, 898 grams of silver, 69 branded watches, gold bangles, 12 bracelets, gold necklaces, silver crowns, rings and 50 thousand Indian rupees were recovered from Saad Rizvi’s house, Saad Rizvi had 91 bank accounts which have been frozen.
Uzma Bukhari said that no Muslim can even think of martyring a mosque, but the management of these mosques will be handed over to moderate Sunni scholars. She clarified that the grave of Khadim Hussain Rizvi is not being moved anywhere, but the grave will not be allowed to be used for fundraising and gathering for incitement.
She said that the government has taken over the management of 330 mosques of the TLP, these mosques will remain open for Azan and prayers, there is zero tolerance for violation of the Loudspeaker Act, all sects are requested to use loudspeakers for Azan and mosques only for prayers, no other activity will be allowed.
The provincial minister said that the geo-tagging of 223 TLP madrasas has been completed, these madrasas will be opened very soon, except for a few madrasas about which law enforcement agencies have strict reports, these madrasas will soon be handed over to the scholars of Ahle Sunnah wal Jamaat.
He said, referring to the social media report, that the parents of children who are caught pay decades, I request you to keep an eye on your children to avoid trouble, your children did not come into the world to become fuel for anyone, your children should also get education and development.
He warned those who misuse social media that terrorism papers will be prepared against them, they will have a police record, they will not get admission anywhere and will not be able to get any visa, nor will they be able to get any facilities within the country, he appealed to parents to save their children from these troubles.
He said that it has also come on record that 6 TLP madrasas were built on government property.
Uzma Bukhari, without naming Saad Rizvi and his brother, said that it was said that both the brothers had been killed, they had been shot and they were injured, but there was absolutely nothing like that, both the brothers were being traced, if not today then tomorrow they would be in the grip of the law.
The Punjab Information Minister further said that the Punjab cabinet’s proposal to ban TLP has been sent to the federal government, on which a decision will be taken in a day or two, whatever decision is taken will be implemented in the true spirit.
He said that in connection with the crackdown, TLP has been divided into 3 levels, the first and second levels include their leadership, while the third level incites people to come out through provocations on social media and WhatsApp, a crackdown is being carried out against all of them and the state and the government are dealing strictly with them.
