QUETTA (Special Report: Rameez Hussain) A delegation of the National Peace Committee of Pakistan paid a three-day important visit to Balochistan, during which meetings were held with the political and military leadership of the province and detailed discussions were held on the promotion of peace and stability in the country as well as the ongoing intellectual and ideological struggle against the Fitna al-Khawarij. The delegation was led by Nazim-e-Ala Nizam-e-Madaris Pakistan, Dr. Mir Muhammad Asif Akbar Qadri.

During the visit, the delegation held a detailed meeting with the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sardar Sarfaraz Khan Bugti, in which they discussed the overall law and order situation of the province, the ongoing national narrative against terrorism, and measures to protect the young generation from extremism. On this occasion, Dr. Mir Muhammad Asif Akbar Qadri presented the detailed scientific and research fatwa “Terrorism and Fitna al-Khawarij” issued by the Shaykh-ul-Islam to the Chief Minister and said that the purpose of this fatwa is to protect the public, especially students and youth, from misleading ideologies and to provide them with intellectual and ideological guidance.

The delegation also met with Corps Commander 12 Corps Balochistan Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan, where he was given a long and detailed briefing on the security situation in the province. During this, a question and answer session was also held in which various aspects related to the promotion of the national peace narrative and the intellectual clarity of the youth in the ongoing war against Fitna al-Khawarij were discussed. Dr. Mir Muhammad Asif Akbar Qadri also presented the detailed fatwa “Terrorism and Fitna al-Khawarij” of the Shaykh-ul-Islam to the Corps Commander on this occasion.
The delegation of the National Peace Message Committee also met with the Governor of Balochistan, Sardar Jafar Khan Mandokhel, and presented the aforementioned fatwa to him. In the meeting, various suggestions regarding the promotion of interfaith harmony, religious tolerance and peace in the province came under consideration.

On the second day of the visit, an iftar dinner was organized in honor of the committee by the Chief Minister of Balochistan, in which provincial ministers, senior government officers, secretaries and heads of various departments participated. On this occasion, various issues were discussed for the promotion of peace, development and harmony in the province through mutual consultation.
The delegation was also given a detailed briefing by Secretary Home Balochistan Hamza Shafqat at the Civil Secretariat. He said that the registration system of madrassas and mosques has been made effective in the province under the DGRE and the progress in this regard is satisfactory. During the briefing, various issues related to the administrative structure of madrassas and the government supervision system were also discussed.
Members of the National Peace Message Committee accompanied by IG Balochistan Tahir Khan attended the Martyrs’ Memorial, where a wreath was laid in honor of the martyrs and special prayers were offered for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country and nation.
Later, Additional IG Agha Muhammad Yousuf gave a detailed briefing to the delegation at the Police Headquarters regarding the security situation in the province. On this occasion, the delegation paid tribute to the sacrifices of police officers and personnel.
The delegation also met the families of the martyrs at the Police Headquarters and expressed their condolences and solidarity with them. The committee also announced a special scholarship for the education of the children of the martyrs so that these families can be encouraged and supported in every possible way.
At the end of the visit, members of the National Peace Message Committee and scholars representing all four schools of thought of Balochistan addressed a joint press conference. On this occasion, the resolve was expressed to further strengthen the national narrative of peace, unity and anti-terrorism in the country. The scholars emphasized that a vigorous struggle will also be continued on the intellectual and ideological front against the fitna al-Kharijite and terrorism so that the younger generation can be protected from extremism.
